Repair network partnership

Accident work with the administration handled properly

We work with independent bodyshops and repair centres across the UK. You get accurate instructions, an authorisation route that is actually chased, and one person to speak to per case. We get repairs documented and finished to the standards we publish.

What partnership actually gives you

Less chasing, fewer reworks, cleaner files

Most repairers do not need more enquiries. They need the ones they take on to arrive properly specified and get authorised without a fortnight of phone calls.

Cases that arrive complete

Vehicle details, accident circumstances, photographs and the customer's contact details come to you in one instruction, not in three separate emails.

Authorisation that is chased

We put estimates and variations forward, answer the queries that come back and keep pushing. You are not left holding a stripped vehicle waiting on someone else's inbox.

One contact per case

A named point of contact who knows the file, rather than a general queue that starts the conversation from scratch every time.

Engineer liaison handled

Where an engineer needs images, measurements or an explanation of method, we manage that exchange with you rather than around you.

A documented payment process

Clear requirements for what an invoice must be supported by, and a defined route for querying anything that does not match.

Mobility arranged separately

Replacement-vehicle arrangements are handled by us where the customer is eligible, so your courtesy fleet is not the fallback for every case.

We do not guarantee work volumes, minimum case numbers, specific payment timescales or exclusivity in an area. Work allocation depends on where cases arise, repair type and capacity at the time. Commercial terms are set out in the partner agreement, not on this page.

Suitable partners

The kind of repairer we work well with

Size is not the deciding factor. We have far more interest in whether a repair is documented properly and whether problems get raised early.

These are the criteria we assess against, not a statement that every partner holds a particular accreditation. Where a specific approval is required for a job, we check it case by case.

  • An established repair business with suitable premises and equipment
  • Appropriate insurance for the work carried out and vehicles held
  • Estimating capability and willingness to document repair method
  • Access to the calibration and diagnostic capability the work requires
  • Secure storage, or a clear arrangement for vehicles held overnight
  • Reliable communication — updates given without being extracted
  • Sound data handling, because customer information passes through you
  • Willingness to work to the published Sterling repair standards
Operational detail

How a case runs from allocation to payment

So you know exactly where your responsibilities begin and end.

Allocation and instruction

We send the case with the vehicle details, accident circumstances, photographs and customer contact details, plus anything specific the claim requires.

Booking in and assessment

You arrange the inspection with the customer, assess the damage and produce a documented estimate with the intended method.

Authorisation

We put the estimate forward, handle engineer queries and confirm the authorised position in writing before work starts.

Repair and variations

Additional damage found at strip-down is submitted as a variation with evidence, and re-authorised before it is carried out.

Completion and quality record

You complete the work, carry out the required checks and calibrations, and provide the quality and handover record.

Invoice and reconciliation

You invoice against the authorised position with the supporting documentation, and we reconcile and process it through the documented route.

Repair standards

What we expect on estimate quality, damage documentation, repair method, parts, calibration, quality control, progress updates, data handling and handover.

Payment process

How authorisation, variations, invoicing, reconciliation and query resolution work, and who to contact about a payment status.

  • Invoice only against an authorised position
  • Documentation requirements listed in full
  • A defined route for queries and shortfalls
  • Payment terms confirmed in your partner agreement

Onboarding

Four steps to becoming a network partner

No timescale is quoted for each step because it depends on how quickly documentation comes back.

  1. 1Application

You tell us about the business, the facilities, the coverage area and the work you take on.

  2. 2Discussion

Our partner team calls to go through capability, expectations and the standards we work to.

  3. 3Documentation and review

Insurance, certifications and business details are checked, and the partner agreement is issued.

  4. 4Set-up and first cases

Contacts, portal access and process are set up, and cases begin to be allocated.
